A report from Colin Hall on Beacon event – photos to follow:

The Armistice Day Beacon, lit at 7 pm on Sunday 11th November at Sellet Bank, was a tremendous success. Well over 120 guests, after enjoying drinks and barbecue at Sellet Hall, made their way to the summit of Sellet Bank to witness both Lady Kimber and Eric Pelter light, what can only be described as, the most impressive conflagration in the Lune Valley!

Blessed with fine weather the concerted joint effort from the PCC, VH Committee, PC and individuals too numerous to mention more than met expectations with a grand total of £1050 being raised by donations for the Help for Heroes charity.

The organisers would like to thank all those involved in contributing so much time and energy to help commemorate such an important occasion.
